As a kid i always wanted pets, to be more specific, i wanted a dog. They are loyal, cool and are a lot of fun. So one day i walked up to my father and asked him if i could have a dog, he thought about it and asked me back, 'who will take care of it?'. Now i was at an age where i was able to actually understand this question and with a busy schedule having a pet was not really an option.

Now that i am older and could have a pet if i wanted to, i don't. I have friends and family that have pets and they are pretty damn cool but i don't think that at this point i have the time or attention to give to a pet that it deserves.

One thing that bugs be about some pet owners is when they dress them up, most of the time if you look at the pets face they are staring at you thinking ' i hate you so much right now', like that little kid being forced to wear an outfit that they hate, the difference is that pets have a harder time getting it off.

So i kind of ran out of things to say before i ran out of photos so I'll end it here by saying that pets are awesome but not for me at the moment and if i do get a pet i would want it to be at least a little relaxed......not hypo...see below..

Oh and this ones cool, hide and seek champion.

I have known about these little guys for awhile now. I have seen them pop up in random places but up until today i knew nothing much about them. Actually what i have learnt today is not very much at all so i urge you to check them out. Here is a link that says...well not a lot but it leads you to the work of artist Anton Tang who has been associated with them(not sure if he created them).

Personally, i think they are pretty damn cool.

I think about this from time to time, when someone or a team  is on top of their game, when they are winning and it don't seem beatable, when they are heroes in their field, people get behind them. The support form the fans that think your the greatest, defend you when people say you suck. Then something happens, you slip, you lose a fight, a game, a match, and some of those same people who had your back turn on you, rip into you on websites or when talking about it with people.

Before you say it, when i watch a fight or something yes, i do critic the athletes, i mean everybody does but what i don't do is hit the net and start ripping into them when in the past i gave them unwavering support. What started me thinking about this recently was the fight between Fedor Emelianenko and Fabricio Werdum. After i watched the fight i checked out the forums to see what people were saying, most of it was normal but some people were ripping into Fedor. Keep in mind that this was his first lose in 10 years, and he didn't get knocked out or anything, he was put in a triangle armbar.

It reminded me of Ken Shamrock, in my opinion one of the greatest fighters there has been and he was fighting during a period when the UFC was younger, before the tightening of rules, a time before Royce Gracie said that it was becoming a sport less real. When he became a WWF wrestler people tore him apart, saying he was a traitor to MMA, that he should go and do fake fighting because the sucks now. To those people i have to say, put yourself in his shoes, hes had been fighting for years, had a great career, had some great fight(eg that draw vs Gracie) and now he knows that hes not as good as he once was and its time to step aside. To admit and come to terms with something like that must one of the hardest mental barriers a person has to face.

I know that not all people do this and the people that do probably have no idea what is like to even set foot in a ring let alone fight in it. I just think that we should cut them a little slack at these times, i mean they just lost, there is no need to make them feel like in the eyes of the world they are a disappointment.

I am not going to sugar coat this in any way, twilight grates on me like nails on a chalk board. I have had to sit through conversations and had debates about this.

Now before you say it, yes I am a male and I have to admit that this fact is probably the main reason I don't like twilight as these types movies(I've been told to read the books but I'm not going to) don't interest me.

When I respond to people asking me why I don't like twilight, most of them would expect me to say something like, 'because it's faggotory and it is stupid', its true but that is not my main reason for hating it.

I hate it because of what it has done to vampire fiction, it has completely screwed with what makes vampires great. For example, if you are a race of super humans that can go out in daylight, why the hell wouldn't you take over. Farm the humans.

Look I could go on for ages about how they have taken the soul out of vampires but I won't. If you want to read or watch something that I think is a good balance of what a vampire is then find something connected to Anne Rice, she got it right.
I will never watch another twilight, ever. the only thing that could make me watch it is if Blade was in it.

Ohh and one last thing, to all those people that think Edward is so hot, look below.....

Hey so i am finally at that age where i can actually say to someone "when i was your age..." and it not sound like I'm just messing with them.
Whether that is a good or bad thing, i don't know but it started me thinking about things from my childhood and how a lot of things are just so different now when it comes to entertainment for kids.

Now I have two main points, the first being the PC factor. When i was a kid there was no where near as much backlash for media being released that wasn't seen as good for kids. it's even reached the point where they are taking classic characters and changing them to suit a certain image that they want to portray.
A good example of this is to my right, in 2006 the Cookie Monster was forced to go through a change in his character, he was part of a Sesame Street campaign for healthy eating habits. This meant that he had to change his diet and even appeared on Martha Stewart's TV show to promote this new philosophy that "cookies are a sometimes food".

That wasn't what dug under my skin, what got to me was that they tried to change his name to the 'Veggie Monster'. When you change so much then there is no point in relating the new character to the old. I know this is only one example but look for yourself and you will see how far the subtle changes have come.

Ok on a lighter note.....kind of... my second point was about my perception of the things around me. I mean as a kid i would never have thought of that(the thing to the left) but then again now that i look at it, that is pretty twisted and i probably wouldn't have thought of that now.

So a better example would be Alice in Wonderland, as a kid it was random, fun and interesting. I watched it the other day and i found myself thinking of things that have never come up before, for example, when she sees something that has a label on it that says ' Drink me' and she drinks it, (summed up beautifully by a friend of mine) "just because it said, drink me, doesn't mean you should drink it.....she gonna get raped"

That is sort of a weird thing to leave you on but it's true. Here is a couple more that as a kid i would not have even noticed but......well yea.

Oh and this one...thank you Disney for raising us by the way.

This photo reminded me of a school trip i went on for Geo. good old Mt Ngauruhoe where it takes like an hour to get up but 30 seconds to get down........or an hour and a half to get down if you do it the stupid way.

On a kind of related note i will be headed up that way not far so i can finally hit some snow!

I've been itching to get on some powder for what feels like ages.

During the summer I even had a weak moment when i was in a store and I saw Shawn White snowboarding and it made me miss boarding so I bought it thinking it would act as a nicotine patch for the mountain...... the game sucked and made me miss it more.

Hell yea season here!

So i just wanted to quickly thank japan for everything that they have given us.
The food, the cartoons, the toys, the culture, the weapons, the weird and everything in between, thanks.
Oh and just before i go, that last photo in the gallery is of an 18 meter(59 ft) tall statue of the iconic RX-78-2 Gundam at Shiokaze Park, Odaiba island, Tokyo. See below.

Ok so that title was just to screw with my friends and family so relax.

Now i don't know about you but i have been asked quite a few times
Picture
'So when are you having kids?"

And my first reaction (I'm sure i'm not alone) is

'I'm not having kids'

Now just to clarify, that doesn't mean i hate kids.
I don't hate kids, they can be funny as( see right).

They are also so little and cute, like miniature people. I guess if we didn't find them cute it would be the end of the human race....

Picture
Also some of the crap that they come up with is pretty funny.

Like a was talking to this kid of about 7 and she was telling me this dramatic story, you know how sometimes they talk and forget to breath. well anyway she was telling me this story and got to the part when her friend jumped out and scared her. now to be honest at this point i was only half listening but in the avalanche she said "...and she was hiding but i didn't know she was hiding and she jumped out and i started crying in my mind because it was so scary..."

Picture
So i just kept doing what i was doing until something clicked and i was like lol ....wait...what? and i tried to break down what she said.....and i was crying in my mind... then i realized you can't break that stuff down, i mean think about all the stuff that they say that would make awesome quotes.

Like for example a friend of mine who has a kid was telling me about the time her son used the toilet for the first time by himself and for the rest of the day referred to himself as the 'Toilet King'.

I have to admit that as a child i have said things that have came back to bite me in the ass and become peoples catch phrases when they are around me.

Well i kind off went off topic (it seems as i do) so i would like to end this by saying a couple of things, firstly, i have many friends with kids and i know when i look at them that they love them completely and would never change it, even if they could.

In saying that though, I can't picture myself having kids, maybe some day that will change but for now, that's just the way it is.

Ok so i wasn't going to just end it like that, here, when i saw this i had the biggest WTFLMAO, i mean seriously WTF.

This question may seem insensitive to a lot of people (for that i am sorry) but think about it objectively.
Take into account the earthquake damage, the cost to rebuilt, the option of the government buying homes of people in certain zones, the fact that the aftershocks don't seem to be stopping...etc...

......... i just want to know what people think.
